Higor Miguel Costa, a 44-year-old self-proclaimed businessman from Brasília, is under investigation for allegedly defrauding victims out of more than R$200,000. Known for hosting a discontinued YouTube show, Costa reportedly used charm and fake investment opportunities—particularly involving gold and credit operations—to lure victims.
After gaining their trust, he escalated financial demands, presenting manipulated news clippings and psychological pressure.
Over 100 PIX transactions to his account have been uncovered. Authorities suspect he fled to Paraguay. At least nine individuals have come forward as victims. His actions led to formal excommunication by a bishop of the Anglican Church in Brazil.
